Web-only workflows — dembrandt is simpler and enough for those.
why it matters · Claude Design
Claude Design reads your codebase and design files, builds your team's actual design system (colors, fonts, spacing, component patterns), and then applies it automatically every time Claude generates UI. Upload a single DESIGN.md or point it at a repo, and you stop getting generic output. Every project stays on-brand without you explaining the brand every session. Ships free with any paid Claude plan — nothing to install.
why it matters · design-extract
Similar to dembrandt but throws in a lot more: direct exports to iOS (SwiftUI), Android Compose, Flutter, WordPress, Tailwind v4, Figma variables, and shadcn/ui components. It also runs a CSS health audit + WCAG accessibility check on the target site. If you're building native apps or WordPress sites and not just web, this covers paths dembrandt doesn't. Free, MIT, very actively maintained.
